Underneath the bridge is bustle amid which a car-carrier is driving
A man waits for a taxi?
An old four door Bronco slips by
Slip is a mixture of clay and water
Amid catching harsh breath a freight train rumbles by
Then a Metra gives a hhmfweerce whistle
Going the opposite direction
Friendly, grey Chicago bluuuok industry
Sends out drivers
Sandy dirt tracks left by the roadside where slough used to be
Now there are houses ornate
After the style of an absent-minded, ginger-bread peppermint-red nose, ruddy faced contractor
To the tune of the Hi-Bilt rumble
